Some people need a ramp, not a cliff. Provide a small set of approved prompts, examples, and step-by-step workflows tied to real tasks. Once they get a few wins, they will explore. Confidence comes from success, not motivation.
5) Protect time for practice
If practice is “optional,” only the curious will do it. Build in micro-practice: 15 minutes a week. Office hours. Working sessions. Skill does not happen in theory. It happens in reps.
6) Use champions, but don’t let them become the crutch
Champions should teach and model, not become the “AI department.” Rotate champions. Make peer learning the norm. Reward teaching, not rescuing.

If you only measure “who used the tool,” you reward speed and punish caution.
Measure outcomes instead:
