.orgSource entrepreneur Sherry Budziak is an innovative leader who turns strategy into results through technology. Budziak possesses more than 20 years of leadership and executive consulting experience helping organizations achieve their digital transformation by improving operational efficiencies and member experiences, identifying opportunities for innovation and new product development, and aligning IT resources to support strategic plans. In 2005, Sherry founded .orgSource, a major technology and digital communications consulting firm that has served more than 100 associations and nonprofits in Chicago and beyond to ensure clients’ long-term success, relevancy and growth. Sherry is also the co-founder and managing director of .orgCommunity, an organization for association leaders and industry suppliers to connect and participate in relevant education and dynamic discussions with peers on topics impacting the nonprofit, association profession and other member-based organizations.
Sherry is an active participant in the association community, serving in key volunteer roles at the Wisconsin Society of Association Executives and the Association Forum of Chicagoland. Currently, Sherry is a member of the WSAE Education Task Force and the Association Forum’s Forum Forward Task Force. Sherry also recently served as chair of the Association Forum’s Information Technology Shared Interest Group, member of the FORUM Editorial Working Group and member of the Forum Forward (Annual Meeting) Program Advisory Group. In 2010, she was honored by the Association Forum as the John C. Theil Distinguished Service Award winner. Sherry frequently writes and speaks for the Wisconsin Society of Association Executives, Association Forum, American Society of Association Executives, Illinois Society for Association Executives, American Association of Medical Society Executives and digitalNow. She was a contributor to ASAE’s best-selling membership book, Membership Essentials (ASAE 2007) as well as its latest version. Recent speaking engagements include co-leading a session on the topic of “Digital Transformation: How to Assemble the Right Staff and Talent to Move Your Organization Ahead” and moderating the panel addressing “Do You Have the Right Technology Partners” at AAMSE’s 2015 Annual Conference; “Flipping the Classroom” at Association Forum’s 2014 Holiday Showcase; and moderating the panel of the 2013 digitalNow session, “Create Value Through Social Learning.”
