Thanksgiving Greetings

A friend of mine ordered her turkey from a farm. She wanted to be sure she would have the perfect centerpiece for Thanksgiving. Her request was for a 20 pounder. Unfortunately, all the daintier birds were spoken for. So, she’s getting a 30-pound behemoth. Will it fit in the roaster and the oven? Who knows?

But I have to admit I’m a little jealous. An enormous perfectly prepared turkey seems like an appropriate way to celebrate the gratitude that I feel about sharing the day with friends and family again. These relationships sustain us and make us the people we strive to be. My personal and professional friendships are invaluable food for the soul in the best of times and on the days I would prefer to forget.

Thanks to our clients for trusting .orgSource to solve their most difficult challenges and for allowing us to participate in their success. Whether turkey, tacos, or tofu will be on your table, I wish you and your significant others a day filled with goodness. No matter what you hope for–laughter, the company of your favorite people, or just a little time to yourself, savor the moment and make warm memories for the future.

Best regards,

Sherry

  1. Sherry, Thanks for sharing, and may you and your family have a very Blessed and HAPPY Thanksgiving too.  You and Kevin have done so much for so many people and organizations, I hope you can bask in the warmth and blessings that they all have for you.   All is well for us here in St Louis and we will celebrate Thanksgiving with our younger son, Jon, and his wife and some of her family.  We will see Ron Mark and his entire family just after Christmas in Glenview, and then go on to LaCrosse, Wisconsin for the Amundson family reunion just before the New Year arrives. I do hope to see you one of these days when I get to Chicago.   I had to have a basal cell carcinoma removed from the tip of my nose, so now a wonderful plastic surgeon (a beautiful young woman of Indian heritage) is doing some reconstruction on my face.  Hopefully it will be better than ever when that is finished!!!!   Stay safe and well and have a Blessed Thanksgiving. R
